Book-A-Room Jackson Library JL Study Rooms Reservation Policies COVID-19 Notice: SC state mandate requires masks to be worn at all times in the study rooms, like the rest of the building. Furniture has been moved to promote social distancing. Please do not move furniture. Please be aware that your room reservation privileges may be revoked if you are observed violating the SC state mask mandate and/or social distancing guidelines. Eligibility: Room reservations must be booked online using a Lander University email address (@lander.edu) and confirmed via email. Our priority is providing study space for current undergraduate and graduate students of Lander University. Availability of rooms: Study rooms will be open only when the library is open and staffed. In addition to the 13 reservable study rooms, the library has first-come, first-served study rooms available in 237-238, 337-338, and 317 (Screenwriter’s Room). Duration of reservation: Library users may reserve up to 3 hours per day. Maximum room capacities: Below is a list of the maximum number of people able to use each study room: 231 (Jackson Conference Room): Max. 3 people 236: Max. 2 people 239: Max. 2 people 241: Max. 3 people 303: Max. 1 person 305: Max. 3 people 307: Max. 3 people 319: Max. 3 people 331: Max. 1 person 333: Max. 1 person 334: Max. 1 person 336: Max. 2 people 339: Max. 2 people Noise levels: Our study rooms and building are NOT soundproof. Users must keep voices and noise very low in these rooms. Late arrivals: If a library user officially reserves a room, they maintain the right to use that room for the duration of their reservation. The room may be used, if vacant, on a first-come, first-served basis until the library user who has a reservation arrives, at which time it must be vacated immediately. Unreserved slots: If a study room is not officially reserved, library users are allowed to use it on a first-come, first-served basis. Library users without a reservation must immediately vacate the room if a library user who has a reservation arrives.
